H.E. Eng. Ibrahim Abdulrahman Alomar is currently the Director-General of the Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation, he was appointed to the role in October 2020.
H.E. Alomar has more than two decades of experience spanning the private and governmental sectors. His previous roles have included Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA); CEO of Bahri, the national shipping company of Saudi Arabia; Chief Product Development Officer at Mobily, and Vice President Al-Jawwal Sector at Saudi Telecom Company (STC).
H.E. Alomar led the establishment of VIVA Bahrain, and held the position of its CEO, he was subsequently appointed as Chairman of the VIVA Bahrain Board of Directors.
He has served as Chairman of the flyadeal Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee of the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO).
Additionally, H.E. Alomar has served as a member on the Board of Directors of Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation and on the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Board of Governors.
H.E. Alomar holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). In addition, he has completed education and training programs at leading business schools, including Harvard, INSEAD and the London Business School.
